Manifesto

What we do

FORMA is a production company and editorial platform devoted to documentaries on contemporary architecture, working where architectural practice meets cinematic language. We do not make promotional content or institutional narratives. A finished building does not exhaust architecture; it is only the visible part of a far wider process, shaped by social, economic, cultural, technical and personal decisions, often in tension and rarely resolved in a straight line.

Why an architect

Architecture is usually shown through its result, seldom through what precedes it. Yet a project takes form slowly, through successive choices revised against context, material and constraint, through advances and retreats, discarded hypotheses and decisions held by conviction. That path is rarely legible, but it remains inscribed in what is built. Our work lives in that interval: not to explain, but to give form to what normally stays unseen.

Curation

We do not work by accumulation. Each essay is chosen deliberately, on consistency of thought, the quality of the built work, and its capacity to sustain a discourse with precision and openness. Rigour is continuous and shared, the condition that preserves the coherence of the work and the standing of those who take part in it.

The vision

Over time, FORMA intends to build an audiovisual archive of contemporary architecture, where each film adds a reading of systems, decisions and conditions. A place where one does not only observe the result, but understands what made it possible.
